Do you recognize this?

  1. The energy between you and a pupil feels off. You notice you are shutting him out just to stay grounded.
  2. A colleague is always late to meetings. When you bring this up, she gets defensive.
  3. Things are not flowing at school, and you start to think it is your fault. You work harder and harder, but nothing changes.

If any of this resonates, this online class is for you.

Theme online class

Authentic Communication in School is a practical session about self-trust, speaking up, and staying connected — without losing yourself.

We often twist ourselves into knots to “keep the relationship intact.” That can lead us to avoid conversations altogether, or to say things that don’t land the way we intended. Communicating in schools — with students, parents, and colleagues — is an art in itself.

It took me years to grow from avoiding or reacting too sharply, to using techniques that bring calm and create space — for the other person and for myself. That is where the most beautiful moments of connection arise.

What you will walk away with

✔️ Two core principles of authentic communication  — so you can speak from calm and courage

✔️Tools to improve your interactions  without needing “difficult conversations”

✔️More ease and presence in your professional relationships

Testimonials

Together with Hélène van Oudheusden we wanted to support our children, teachers and parents in their social-emotional development and well-being on Lesvos. We have successfully organized five seminars about Mindfulness & Positive Teaching/Parenting in Molyvos. Participants came from several villages including from the capital of our beautiful island.

I have enjoyed Hélène’s enthusiasm, and pedagogical and international experience. Our teachers, parents and children loved the seminars and felt inspired to apply the practical tools and exercises in their daily life.

Empower Yourself at Work is not a standard book. When you take it in your hands, you understand that it contains wisdom and love that are channeled through its exercises that teach us to make the best choices for ourselves.

At the end of the book you will have a clearer view on your future, of how you see yourself.

Personally, I really liked the story with the cocoon and the butterfly. Just as the caterpillar grows slowly and steadily in its cocoon until it grows up and gets the strength to fly when it is a butterfly, so life teaches us to be patient and work with ourselves for the changes to come.

What a wonderful study visit

Hélène is fantastic. She organises the study trip for refugee teachers pleasantly and very clearly. She creates a casual, warm atmosphere and is passionate about her own humanitarian work on Lesvos, Greece.

Hélène jumps into the unexpected, is a nice travel companion and sets an example in inner leadership. First and foremost because she facilitates and organises this study visit but also because she dares to think outside the box and presents a fascinating story of her own humanitarian work in 2015/2016 as a one-person organisation. Everything she shares is evidence of taking inner leadership. Wow.
